ORBITAL has designed, developed and manufactured its eyewear in Buenos Aires since 1996. Making our own product lets us take part in every stage, from the first idea to the finished piece, and stand behind every pair that leaves our factory.
Design: we start with the object
Every model begins with a search for proportion, geometry and construction. A single line, a thickness or a few millimeters can completely change how a frame relates to a face. That's why every design decision is intentional.
Design is developed between Argentina and the United States, by teams that bring different cultures and perspectives to the same object.
Engineering: every detail has a reason
We study materials, weight, structure, flexibility, ergonomics and manufacturing processes to create products that are precise, lightweight and functional. For us, design and engineering aren't separate stages: they're part of the same process.
Materials, worked by hand
In our factory, advanced technology and traditional craftsmanship work side by side. We choose materials for their technical properties and for how they perform in everyday wear.
- Xylon™. Our proprietary frame material: bio-based and recyclable. Every ORBITAL frame is made of it.
- Stainless steel. In hinges and components, where strength is needed in a minimal profile.
VSL™ lenses
Sunglasses are also an optical instrument. All our lenses are VSL™ (Vision System Lens): every one filters UV400 and blue light, some add an infrared filter, and some are polarized. What it means for you that we make them ourselves
- Lifetime warranty. Every pair of ORBITAL sunglasses carries a lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects: if a factory defect appears, we repair or replace it free of charge. It doesn't cover impacts, drops, misuse or normal wear; details in our Returns & Exchanges policy.
- Direct support. The people who make your sunglasses are the same people who help you if anything comes up.
- An independent brand. We don't belong to any eyewear conglomerate: we decide what we make and how we make it.
